Vision and mission:-

 

· To reach timely, compassionate and quality health care, emergency life-saving medical services and value based education to the un-reached (poor, oppressed, marginalized and down trodden) crossing all the boundaries of caste, region and religion. · To generate public awareness about Positive Health (Physical, Psychological, Spiritual and Social well being) among the rural folks. · To have critical presence where there is a natural calamity (Tsunami, Earth Quake, Drought, Famine, Epidemics etc.). · To promote public awareness about climate changes, pollution and Global Warming; and usher in eco-friendly attitudes and eco-friendly technology. · To conduct regular free medical camps and screening camps for various diseases among illiterate and down trodden people in remote villages and tribal areas. · To achieve unity, communal harmony, religious harmony and good brother-hood among all the people. · To promote rural sports and Hockey. · To rehabilitate destitutes, widows and economically backward women through income generation activities. · To encourage and promote cultural activities. · To develop agriculture.  · To provide shelter, Care and Support to the people living with HIV/AIDS. · To provide Telemedicine services for rural people. 

 

             

James Hospital and James Memorial Charitable Trust treated 784 victims of tsunami on 26th December 2004 itself free of cost.  Besides, the entire James Hospital was converted into a tsunami relief camp on the same day and started treating, sheltering and feeding over and above 10000 tsunami victims for a span of 5 months absolutely free of cost. In addition to a variety of humanitarian services, James Memorial Charitable Trust has been running a Care and Support Centre for HIV/AIDS people since 2005.
